The Masters – Florida State Drew Kittleson makes golf history

Florida State has a potential WINNER on their team. Drew Kittleson, a sophomore, finished second in the 2008 U.S. Amateur Tournament at Pinehurst and earned a spot at the Masters and the 2009 U.S. Open. Congratulations Drew!

The Master’s is golf's premier tournament held at Bobby Jones' Augusta National Golf Club. A tournament that millions of golfers dream of participating in, and winning. But for this sophomore at Florida State, it is more than a dream, it’s a reality.

Drew Kittleson, a Scottsdale, Arizona native, is making his first Master’s appearance in his second year with one of the college golf’s most successful programs.

From the Master’s to the 2009 U.S. Open June 15-21 at Bethpage State Park (Black Course) in Farmingdale, NY, Drew is making history for Florida State.

"It's really a dream come true," Kittleson said. "It's something you work for as a golfer and it's the highest level, so it's something I'm really looking forward to."
