Washington claims the 2009 National Championship

Kimi Pohlman gave Washington the decisive run in a 3-2 victory for its first NCAA softball championship Tuesday night.

Kimi is making a name for herself in the world of softball. She was named to the Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team!

National player of the year Danielle Lawrie (42-8) shut out the top-seeded Gators (63-5) the rest of the way to clinch the title with a two-game sweep. Danielle also won the Honda Award!

Kimi and Danielle are women on the move in softball. Their incredible accomplishments thus far are only the beginning of their career accomplishments.
